Though I was a bit worried, I have to say I'm extremely satisfied with the outcome of my "outlandish" photoshoot at Wreck Beach yesterday, because it earned me First Prize!
...I did think to wait until I had a positive result back before I posted this gem - mostly because it would have been slightly embarrassing to swim in my skivvies and take a picture of it if I wasn't completely sure it was worth it!
“There's a race of men that don't fit in, A race that can't sit still; So they break the hearts of kith and kin, And they roam the world at will. They range the field and rove the flood, And they climb the mountain's crest; Their's is the curse of the gypsy blood, And they don't know how to rest.”

Anything You Can Do...
I spotted a contest recently where I could win tickets to the opening night performance of Romeo & Juliet at the Stratgord Shakespeare Festival. We all know how much I love this place, so of course I'm going to enter! But how?
All I have to do is submit a photo of myself reading Shakespeare in an outlandish location! After browsing through a few of the posted submissions (a little unfair, if you ask me - because it makes the "one-upping" game too easy!), I realize that I can do far better than a cat photo. Granted, I might feel a little bad for snatching the prize from the little ballerina or those cute kidlets reading in a canoe from their snowy backyard, but I'm sure it'll pass....
I took a friend to the Van Dusen Botannical gardens this evening for their Festival of Lights (a must-see at this time of year!) and brought along my camera, hoping to get some inspiration.

December The Two
Here's a little preview of my Christmas Cards, still quite in rough form. I must love you people to do so much folding....It's about 1100 folds amongst all of the cards, not including the folds necessary to turn 25 pieces of square paper into 25 pieces of hexagonal paper. I think they'll be quite satisfying to complete, though!
